About the author

JoAnne
Scannell Davis

A lover of words, nature, and the mysteries of the universe,
JoAnne writes from the heart – exploring love, humanity,
memories, and the eternal dreams that connect us all.

Her poetry is a reflection of life’s quiet moments, its deepest
emotions, and the beauty that remains.

JoAnne Scannell Davis has always loved reading, but writing entered her life almost by accident. After spending more than fifty years working as a programmer analyst and systems analyst, she began writing poetry in 2012 when she created a poem as part of a graduation gift for her grandson.

What started as a single poem slowly became something much more. Over the next ten years, JoAnne continued writing about the things that caught her attention, moved her, amused her, or stayed in her thoughts. Those poems eventually became Love Lives Forever: In Hearts and Souls and Verse, published in 2023. Her writing draws from everyday life, nature, memories, emotions, imagination, and the larger mysteries of life and eternity. JoAnne has also completed her first novel, Dream-Drifting through Camelot, opening another chapter in the writing journey she once never expected to begin.
