In Hearts and Souls and Verse
Follow JosefAna’s journey from the cosmos into human life as she discovers family, faith, learning, love, and loss. Guided by curiosity and imagination, she experiences the innocence of childhood and the difficult realities that gradually change her world.
This is the story of a dream. CM (Collective Memory) offers the first reflections in this dreamlike diary. Everything begins in the cosmos, and JosefAna’s story is no exception. Sometimes, there are those who feel a deep need to write everything down, to record it all. Not necessarily by putting pen to paper, but by etching their thoughts, fantasies, and even the mundane experiences of each day into the universal dream of eternity. JosefAna feels that need.
JosefAna is cognizant from the very beginning. She has always existed, as she will relate. Either she or CM will describe her journey from the cosmos to the womb and into human life. Mostly, they will describe her life as it unfolds from birth into a Camelot of sorts, through all that is new and exciting, through the mundane, and through that which must be endured.
First, she discovers her parents, then her family. She dreams of them. Then she goes to school and finds herself in a new world with a new way of learning. To JosefAna, God was a concept she had neither considered nor even been aware of until she was enrolled in a Catholic school. With very mixed emotions, she must follow this path. Other than her own angst, life is mostly ordinary and innocent. Nothing is real except her own feelings. Then JosefAna discovers death, double-death, and triple-death. The naivete and righteousness of Camelot begin to recede. Evil lurks.
Along the way, she continues to focus on what is new and exciting, but she handles everything life throws at her. She struggles, but her curiosity, strength, and imagination never desert her.
