into my shimmering embrace.
Howl hymns of happiness and praise and God,
simple songs that serve us well

Come play with me
pled the puppy to his siblings.
Wriggle and roll with me
in the sandbox of our youth.
Grunt and growl and wrestle with me.
Tug my tail and spin me round and round and
run with me until we are all done.
We always play together in joyful abandon
and we have a wonderful time.
Come laugh with me
called the clown to the crowd.
Laugh at all the jokes and
Pranks and puns of wit and whimsy.
Laugh wrinkles are the best kind,
and laughter is the best medicine
as fun never hurt anyone,
or so I have been told.
Appreciate my antics and my wisecracks,
winking and wincing all the way.
Laughing for joy is a wonderful time.
Come cry with me
My country’s law urged its land.
Weep with me when we are weary
with worry, aching
to bring back times long past.
Wail with me about life’s injustices. We must
work together to do what must be done.
Now let the tears wash away all fears as we wait
in joyful anticipation for
